Hillgiggers by Neal Asher
entertaining
SPOILERS AFTER CUT
a good book and a page turner but you have to swollow that the worm was on the one hand manipuling the four siblings in order to get free and at the same time could get free whenever it wanted to and the explaination for this contradiction is just brushed off as oh it's an alien and we'll never understand it's motivations. It's irritating to set up a contradicion and ignore it in this manner. It would seem Neal Asher realised half way through the writing that there was a central plotting flaw and decided to ignore it which is irksome. Nevertheless it is an entertaining and I rattled through it.
